Fall Ministry Recap
As the year wound down and the Wyoming air turned crisp, fall brought a beautiful whirlwind of ministry moments across the state. October, November, and December were full of powerful conversations, student encounters, and unforgettable moments that reminded me why I love this mission so much.
Alive in 5 Training
One of my favorite memories from this season was leading an Alive in 5 evangelism training. It’s always special helping students feel more confident sharing their faith, but this time, something extra powerful happened—someone gave their life to Jesus during the training! We weren’t even in an official outreach setting yet, but the Holy Spirit moved in the room, and it became clear that this was a holy moment.
Glenrock Youth Service
I also had the opportunity to speak at a youth service in Glenrock. It was an interesting Youth Alive service - usually I speak on something distinctly missional but I felt the Holy Spirit’s guidance to speak on ‘Seasons of Struggles’ and running to God during hard things. I love that God is a God who sees us, and I believe that message was specifically for someone there that night.
FCA Meeting — Faith in the Hallways
I had the chance to speak at an FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) meeting, and I was reminded again how significant it is when students live out their faith boldly in their schools. FCA creates space for that to happen for athletes. There’s always something powerful about being in the school environment, encouraging students to carry light into every hallway.
Youth Convention — A Generation in the Room
Last but definitely not least—Youth Convention. I had the honor of helping, leading preservice game, and just being available for whatever was needed. Watching hundreds of students worship together, respond to God’s Word, and say “yes” to their calling was overwhelming in the best way. It’s hard to describe unless you’ve been in the room, but those moments where the altar is packed and students are seeking the Lord? That’s where movements start. That’s where callings are clarified and lives are forever marked.
The Youth Alive student leadership team shared about Youth Alive during convention and also helped launch a project they having been working on. The project was “backpack tags” a wearable designed to help spark conversations about the Gospel. We gave away nearly 190 tags and are excited for how God might use them.
Another highlight was the 2024 Called Team leading worship during the final service of convention. Seeing students step up and into their callings is MY FAVORITE THING. When I die, kick over my tombstone and use it as a platform for students to share Jesus.
