You could still hear the echo of basketball shoes on the gym floor when students started gathering—not to rehash the final score or talk about the plays, but to encounter something much bigger.
Right after a high school basketball game in Glenrock, Youth Alive partnered with FCA to host an on-campus outreach designed to meet students where they are—on their turf and in their world. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, but the mission was clear—create a moment where students could encounter the Gospel in a real and personal way. That’s the heartbeat of every Youth Alive outreach: not just putting on an event, but making space for God to move.
Scripture & Outreaches
Big events aren’t just a modern ministry idea—they’re deeply rooted in Scripture. In the Book of Acts, we see over and over how God used large gatherings to spark revival and launch movements. On the day of Pentecost, Peter preached to a massive crowd, and 3,000 people were saved in a single moment (Acts 2:41). Later, crowds gathered to hear the apostles teach, perform miracles, and proclaim the Gospel. These moments were Spirit-empowered gatherings that created space for transformation, public witness, and personal response. In the same way, we believe big events today can be catalytic—opening hearts, planting seeds, and setting the stage for ongoing discipleship and deeper connection.

Outreaches open the door to small, powerful moments. A conversation in the corner. A breakthrough during worship. Students leaning in to hear testimonies of what Jesus can do.
