January & February Adventures

Here are some (but not all over) the major highlights from the last few months!

Youth Alive West Coast Gathering – California
January kicked off with a trip to California for the Youth Alive West Coast gathering, which brought together Youth Alive missionaries from all over the country. We exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and dreamed big about how to continue reaching students in every corner of the nation. The gathering was a spark of fresh vision and unity, setting the tone for the year ahead. Though there were many, the biggest highlight was visiting Azusa Street and the accompanying prayer time.

Training Student Movement Makers – Gillette, WY
From California, I returned to Wyoming and jumped into action. One of our first stops was in Gillette, where we spent time training students to start their own movements. This was a space where young leaders caught the vision for reaching their campuses with the Gospel. We talked through the foundational steps—prayer, vision, collaboration, and preparation and considered what it could look like on their campus! I also was a part of their mission’s emphasis weekend alongside Jeff Anderson with Convoy of Hope. I LOVE those Gillette leaders and students and it’s an honor and blessing to be with them.

Youth Service in Glenrock, WY
Next stop: Glenrock. We love any opportunity to hang out with our Glenrock friends. During this youth service, we focused on faithfulness, persistence, and the importance of staying committed, even when the going gets tough. The students were all in, ready to take what they learned and put it into action in their everyday lives. It’s always amazing to see how hungry this generation is for the things of God, and Glenrock was no exception.

Sunday Morning Service in Bridger Valley, WY
Wrapping up February, I found myself in Bridger Valley for a Sunday morning service. These are always beautiful moments - coming together with a congregation to share about mission, vision, and what God is doing through Youth Alive. I had the opportunity to encourage the church to live missionally and to recognize that each person, no matter their age or stage in life, has a role to play in sharing the love of Jesus with their community.
